To remove the grinding sleeve, place the expansion roller on a round object slightly smaller than the roller. Then simply push the sleeve down slightly using both hands, it will just slide off!

Using abrasive sanding discs, belts or flap discs on aluminium has always caused several problems like clogging of the abrasives and reducing the service life. Various techniques are being used but nothing has really worked successfully - until now:

Did you know how to get the maximum life out of the range of Zircotex Fix products?

• choose the right speed for the application, use a variable speed angle grinder to select the optimum rpm (see our VARILEX angle grinder)
• when the disc is worn down to the edge of the backing pad, change over to the next smaller size backing pad and continue to work until the whole material on the disc is used up !
  

And remember, using a smaller size backing pad will increase the flexibility of the disc, so if you are still using regular fibre discs because of the required flexibility, try the Zircotex Fix flap discs - with increased flexibility very similar to a fibre disc and a service life of up to 25 times longer then a regular fibre disc !!!
